The Tragedy of the Pretenders (Acts 5:1-11)
One of the most frequent sins of the church today is that of lying to the Holy Spirit! Anytime that the believer hypocritically pretends to be devoted or surrendered to God when the are really not, they lie to the Holy Spirit. This is exactly what the passage in Acts 5:1-11 speaks of when a selfish couple keep something back for themselves, while pretending to give all to God. Don't you feel it is time to give all to God and stop pretending to be completely sold out to God. Be truthful, for God knows your heart!
